Welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will meet you at the airport and provide a warm welcome. You will then be transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in Kathmandu.

After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time and personal preference, you may have some free time to explore the nearby surroundings or simply enjoy the hotel.

In the evening, our team will conduct a brief tour orientation, introducing you to the upcoming journey, sightseeing schedule, transportation arrangements, and other important details. You will then have the evening free to rest and prepare for your cultural exploration of Kathmandu the following day.

After breakfast, begin your full-day exploration of Kathmandu’s remarkable cultural and religious heritage. The day takes you to four of the valley’s most significant heritage landmarks, each offering a different perspective on Nepal’s Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

Your first visit is Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu temples in Nepal and an important pilgrimage destination for devotees from around the world. Located beside the Bagmati River, the temple complex is known for its distinctive pagoda-style architecture, religious shrines, traditional rituals, and centuries-old spiritual significance.

Continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historic heart of the old Kathmandu Kingdom. Explore its palace courtyards, temples, traditional Newari architecture, intricately carved wooden windows, and historic monuments. The square provides an excellent introduction to the artistic and architectural heritage of the Kathmandu Valley.

Next, visit Swayambhunath Stupa, popularly known as the Monkey Temple. After breakfast, leave Kathmandu and travel towards Bandipur, a charming historic hilltop settlement renowned for its preserved Newari architecture and traditional way of life.

The journey takes you through Nepal’s changing landscapes, with views of hills, valleys, rivers, and rural settlements along the way. Upon arrival in Bandipur, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax.

Later, begin exploring the cultural character of Bandipur. Walk through its traditional streets and observe beautifully preserved Newari houses, intricately carved windows, historic buildings, temples, and local courtyards. The town has retained much of its traditional atmosphere, making it an excellent place to experience Nepal’s living Newari heritage.

Spend time around the main bazaar and interact with the local environment as you discover traditional architecture, customs, and everyday life. Your cultural guide will introduce you to the history and traditions that make Bandipur different from the larger cities of Nepal.

The evening can be enjoyed at a relaxed pace, allowing you to experience the peaceful atmosphere of this historic hill town.

After breakfast, depart from Bandipur and continue your journey towards Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha.

The drive takes you from the hill country towards the warmer plains of southern Nepal, offering a different perspective of the country’s landscape and local life. Along the way, you can observe rural communities, agricultural areas, and changing scenery as you travel toward the Terai region.

Upon arrival in Lumbini, check in to your hotel and take time to rest after the journey. The remainder of the day is kept relaxed, allowing you to settle into your accommodation and prepare for the following day’s full-day exploration of Lumbini’s cultural and Buddhist heritage.

If time and energy permit, you may also enjoy a peaceful walk around the local surroundings in the evening.

After breakfast, begin a full day of exploration through the sacred and culturally significant heritage sites of Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in the world.

Begin your sightseeing at Maya Devi Temple, the central spiritual landmark of Lumbini. The temple marks the sacred site traditionally recognized as the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became the Buddha. Explore the surrounding archaeological remains and peaceful atmosphere while learning about the historical and religious significance of the site.

Continue to the Sacred Garden, a tranquil area containing important archaeological and religious landmarks associated with Buddha’s birth. You will also visit the historic Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka during his pilgrimage to Lumbini in the 3rd century BCE. The pillar stands as an important historical testament to Lumbini’s significance as a Buddhist pilgrimage site.

Visit Puskarini, the Sacred Pond, located near Maya Devi Temple. According to Buddhist tradition, this is the pond where Queen Maya is believed to have bathed before giving birth to Siddhartha Gautama.

Continue your exploration through the Lumbini Monastic Zone, where monasteries and Buddhist centers built by different countries and Buddhist traditions reflect the international importance of Lumbini. After breakfast, begin your return journey from Lumbini to Kathmandu by private vehicle. The drive takes you back through the diverse landscapes of Nepal, from the southern plains toward the hills and Kathmandu Valley.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and check in. The remainder of the afternoon is free for relaxation. You may rest at the hotel or spend some personal time exploring the nearby area, depending on your preference.
